Day 3: Clutter

Today’s post will be longer because of the sheer amount of clutter that I accumulated in the 3-4 hours I worked on this. Loads of information is a good thing right, but we have to find out a way to stay focused and leveled.

My Mood:

What I did

Yesterday I mentioned categories, well, I thought it was a bit early for that. You see, how can I categorize my ideas when I haven’t finished fully understanding my ideas and how to properly analyze them. At the end of this you will understand why it is so important to find a way to ground yourself and find your own pace and rhythm.

I choose to focus on the who of problem solving, as in who is affected by a given problem. It could be:

I was already going way too broad, as I even made subcategories (i.e for Everyone) such as Men, Women, Couples, Children and Elders.

In the end I realized that who is affected doesn’t really matter to me, since my goal is to help you all the same.

Who is everyone, everyone is me, more or less. I looked for pressure points today, and what I found was real struggles of people just like you and me, that have a serious emotional impact on our lives. Tell me you don’t find yourself in any of the following statements found online (altered slightly of course):

That was just a few that really triggered a lot of people, and for good reason, but there was one thing that EVERYBODY could agree on…

Why are manicures so expensive?

That mystery also triggered my curiosity, but I think that based on just this session I could understand that what we want, fundamentally, is a world where people meet each other half way, and where we are rewarded for our curiosity and willingness to learn.

Emotions like this are so honest, that it was a joy to read about, however it made me biased looking at other areas. Take financial problems for instance, which more times than not, are linked to inefficiency, and should we believe the people of the internet, then inefficiency is too subjective. What I mean by too subjective is that inefficiency to some, is totally acceptable and sometimes even expected by others.

The contrast of this made me feel pressured to make sense of it, and seeing as I couldn’t, I decided to pace myself.

Now comes the moment I answer why it is so important to ground yourself…

In the world of electronics, there are things that are intended to be grounded so I don’t see why that can’t be applicable for ourselves as well. We are not supposed to constantly power through the chaos making sense of everything.

Be easy on yourself and let your self be grounded, if only for a moment.
